Hello, and welcome.
First, I want to thank God that you've found your way to Hidden Increase Music Ministries. It is no accident that you're here today, and I pray that something on this website draws you closer to Jesus Christ.
If I'm being honest, saying "yes" to this ministry wasn't easy. For years, I wrestled with doubt. I didn't believe my gift could make room for me. More than that, I didn't believe I was worthy enough for God to use me to sow seeds of faith into the lives of others.
For nearly a decade, God continued to call me, and I continued to respond with hesitant "yeses." Eventually I reached a point where I simply prayed:
"Lord, I'll start it. But in the end, You must receive all the glory. Let people forget my name if it means they remember Yours. Your Kingdom and Your legacy are infinitely more important than my own life."
That prayer reminded me of the words of John the Baptist:
"He must become greater; I must become less." — John 3:30 (NIV)
I've discovered that my relationship with God grows the deepest in the hidden places—away from recognition, away from applause, and away from the spotlight. The more I decrease, the more room I make for Christ to increase in my life.
Interestingly, about two years before the establishment of Hidden Increase Music Ministries, I founded Hidden Increase LLC. At the time, I thought that business was the ministry God was calling me to build.
I was wrong.
The Lord gently reminded me, "No, Darnell. It's not about you. It's about Him."
That's where the vision for H.I.M.M. was born.
This ministry is not about building a platform or making a name for ourselves. It's about telling the greatest story ever written—the story of God's love for humanity, the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, and the continuing work of the Holy Spirit, who leads God's people into truth, obedience, and a life that reflects His Kingdom here on earth.
Even today, I am far from perfect.
I still make mistakes. I still battle fear. I still struggle with self-doubt. I've sabotaged opportunities, questioned my calling, and often discredited myself before anyone else had the chance to.
Yet through all of it, God continues to remind me:
"I chose you, My son."
If you're reading this and wondering whether God chose the right person...
If you feel unqualified...
If you've convinced yourself that your past disqualifies you from your purpose...
I want you to know that I understand that feeling.
But I also know this:
Your mistakes often become your greatest sermons.
Your humiliations often become your strongest testimonies.
Your weaknesses can become the very places where God's strength is most clearly seen.
God didn't make a mistake when He created you. He designed you with purpose. The things that make you different are not accidents—they are often the very things God will use to reach people that no one else can.
Don't spend your life adjusting yourself to fit the expectations of people.
Instead, allow yourself to be transformed by the guidance of our loving, sovereign Heavenly Father.
Above all, remember the Gospel.
"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him." — John 3:16–17 (NIV)
Jesus did not come because you were perfect.
He came because none of us are.
He willingly went to the cross to pay the price for every sin, every failure, every weakness, and every mistake we would ever make. His grace is greater than your past, and His mercy is greater than your shame.
People may walk away from you.
Let them walk.
People may lose trust in you.
Let them.
Your identity was never meant to rest in the approval of people.
You are not the Savior.
Jesus is.
Just as He saved me, He is able—and willing—to save you.
My prayer is that when you leave this website, you won't remember my name. I hope you'll remember Jesus Christ. If this ministry succeeds in helping even one person know Him more deeply, then every step of obedience will have been worth it.
May God bless you, strengthen you, and remind you daily that He still calls ordinary people to accomplish extraordinary things for His glory.
In Christ,
Darnell Y. Parker
